Often artificial intelligence and cybernetics are widely misunderstood as the same thing. In fact, there are fundamental philosophical differences between these two areas. Dec. It is accepted that the science of cybernetics began long before artificial intelligence. In addition, another distinguishing point is the difference in the goals that led to the birth of these sciences. For example; artificial intelligence; It was born from the desire to make intelligent computers like humans. Cybernetics, on the other hand, arose from the desire to understand and build systems that could achieve goals such as complex human goals or simply maintaining the temperature of a room under changing conditions.
Artificial intelligence recognizes that information is a commodity that can be stored inside a machine, and the application of this stored information to the real world constitutes intelligence. Cybernetics, on the contrary, argues that objectivity arises from common agreement about meaning and that information is the nature of an interaction rather than a stored commodity.
